Abstract
Learning English has always been necessary in Ukraine and it is a part of general education. Now this issue is essential. And there are a number of reasons for this! English is a means of international professional and personal communication; we travel a lot and go to international congresses and conferences, read international scientific literature. One of the many factors contributing to the rise of importance of English in our country is the implementation of English-language teaching in medical universities. Over the past 10 years, the SE “DMA” has been teaching foreign students in English. During this period, the quality of teaching English-speaking students has grown significantly and is constantly improving. Annually methodical manuals for teachers and students are developed, lectures are updated, and manuals for practical classes and out-of-class independent work preparation are prepared. Algorithms of work with English-speaking students are being developed. Currently, teachers of the SE "DMA" are actively raising the level of English, receiving certificates and, accordingly, the quality of teaching in the academy is being improved. In addition, the study of the English language expands the horizons of knowledge, not only narrowly medical, but global, thanks to studying the themes of world problems, contributes to erudition increase, and changes the worldview.
