Abstract
To train medical students for STEP 1 in English is appeared to be rather complicated task requiring special teaching techniques, knowledge of numerous medical subjects, interdisciplinary communication and powerful motivation both for students and educators. As English part of STEP 1 differs from common exams to get the English language certificate (e. g., TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge English Language Assessment, Pearson English Language Test), it does not include such obligatory components as reading, writing, listening and speaking. Thus, all language skills can not be assessed properly during this exam.
