Abstract

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is an urgent problem of modern pulmonology. Patients with more severe bronchial obstruction and body mass index (BMI)<25 kg / m2 have a higher risk of death compared with patients with COPD who are overweight and even obese. The aim: To determine the effect of smoking on indicators of nutritional status in patients with COPD. Materials and methods: A study included 95 patients with COPD.
