Abstract

Introduction. It is known that the role of biometals in the metabolic processes of the brain is very important. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the features of changes of biometals in mild degree blast-induced traumatic brain injury (bTBI). This topic is very relevant today, because Ukraine is currently fighting with explosives, which injures not only the military but also the civilian population. It is believed that mild bTBI has a latent course, which is manifested in the long term as a result of neurodegeneration. However, despite the large number of studies, the role of biometals in the pathogenesis of mild bTBI has not been well studied. The aim of the study was to establish changes in the ratio of Zr/Sr in the forebrain of rats with bTBI on the 1st day of the post-traumatic period. Materials and methods: The study involved 12 adult male Wistar rats, weighing 220-270 g, aged 6-7 months, which were kept in standard conditions and diet of the DSMU vivarium.
