Abstract
The article presents historical aspects of the formation and development of the student scientific society (SSC) of the General Hygiene Department of the Dnepropetrovsk Medical Academy for the period 1922-2017 years. It is shown that the history of the SSС is inextricably linked with the founding and progress of the scientific and pedagogical potential of the General Hygiene Department, since practically all teachers, docents, professors, who worked and are still working in the walls of the native department during their studies at the Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy were active members of the SSС: professors Biletska E.M., Onul N.M., docents Zemlyakova T.D., Antonova O.V., Holovkova T.A.
