Abstract

The prevalence of contact-allergic dermatitis in the world varies between 20 to 25%. The use of latex gloves as well as products made of latex in the work environment are risk factors for occupational allergies among different categories of workplaces. Doctors, nurses and junior nurses are the most affected. In medical staff, contact allergic dermatitis is diagnosed in the range from 3% to 10% of cases. Under our supervision there were 14 patients (doctors, nurses, junior nurses) who were diagnosed with contact-allergic dermatitis.
